Program Description
Details
Students travel back in time with Darci Tucker to become reporters interviewing Amelia Earhart. Set the day after she became the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean by air, Earhart is still very much alive in this interactive program. Students hear about her childhood, how she learned to fly, her views on gender equality, and about the adventure and danger of the trans-Atlantic flight. Grades K-5. Registration is required. Support for this program is secured by Arts for Learning and is provided in part by the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission, Arts Alliance, Virginia Commission for the Arts, and the Helen G. Gifford Foundation.
