Join us in a discussion of Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. This book is a page turner from start to finish. An adult brother and sister who spent years apart, come together for the reading of their mothers' will. In the reading she first instructs them to eat the delicious black cake she left for them in her refrigerator, in hopes that it will ease their grief and reunite them. There are so many twists and turns that are revealed as the lawyer tells their mothers’ story beginning in the Caribbean, where one young girls hopes dashed by her father's addiction to gambling, leads to a loveless marriage. Who was this woman they thought they knew?
