Due to staffing limitations at Kempsville Library, the first week of Just 2s Storytime has been canceled for Monday January 10th at 9:30am.  We hope to resume for the second week. 

Join us for an all ages storytime including books, songs, rhymes and literacy activities to help children develop a lifelong love of reading! Ages 2-5 with caregiver. Registration is required. This program is outdoors on the lawn.

You are your child’s teacher! In this 45 minute virtual session, parents and caregivers will learn techniques to support early literacy at home through daily routines as they sing, talk, read, write, and play together.

Enjoy a casual chat about popular books. Talk about titles you like and hear what others enjoy. Swap favorites old and new or spread the word about your favorite reads. 

We emphasize alphabet and letter recognition and activities that support independence and confidence building. This storytime includes books, rhymes and literacy activities to help children enter school ready to learn to read.

Perform, create, and have fun!  Join us to explore various art forms. Each class features a new skill, artist, artistic movement or technique. Grades K-2.  Registration is required.
