Build early language and large motor skills through rhyme, songs, book sharing, and hands-on activities with your child. Ages 6-24 months with caregiver. Registration is required.  

Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This is a social event for both caregiver and child, as opposed to a traditionally structured program.

Start your week off with Mahjong! Come learn the rules of this traditional Chinese game and play with others. No experience necessary. Adults. Registration is required.

Boost independence and develop social skills using writing activities, basic concepts (i.e., colors, shapes, letters, etc.), large muscle movement, and social-emotional learning opportunities focusing on the whole child. Age 2 with a caregiver.

Enjoy a casual chat about popular books. Talk about titles you like and hear what others enjoy. Swap favorites old and new or spread the word about your favorite reads. 

If you are a non-native English speaker, join us to practice your conversational English in a friendly setting. Each week we discuss a different topic and do fun activities!

Adults. Teens 16+   Registration is not required.

Come and participate in a library scavenger hunt! Come find some books that are described on the library scavenger hunt card. Passive Program. Registration is not required.

Bring your craft, your supplies and your passion! Meet other crafters and creators, share your ideas and get new ones! Adults. Registration is not required.

Get creative with Perler beads!  Come and create designs that can be transformed, into pictures, coasters, magnets, and more with just a household iron.  All materials will be provided. Grades K-5.  Registration is required

Play Bingo, win prizes, and learn techniques for stretching, breathing, balance and fall prevention.  This is a free 10 week course that meets twice a week for 1 hour provided by Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, and ends on October 1
